It Was All A Dream
By Kellen Brandon
Hailing from Saginaw, Michigan; writer, editor, producer, and commentator William Ketchum has come a long way with his pen. I remember meeting him back in 2010 when he arrived at Bryant Elementary School in Flint, Michigan to cover the first BP School Takeover. At the time, I wasn’t too fond of the writers at The Flint Journal (now MLIVE), as they were experiencing an overhaul as a company and attempting to adjust to the new way of media intake by consumers. When I was told, “the newspaper is here to interview you,” I didn’t break my neck to get over to him. But he waited, patiently, as I had no idea of the talent that was about to lend itself to my mission.
The tables turned and I got the chance to interview him.
